He's just about over it; one dose of the antibiotics & he was feeling better...but its weird that 3 members of this family has gotten pneumonia recently.
Is birding like The Big Year? Well, it's based on a true story, but they took some liberties, to put it mildly. Birding can be super competitive though. They got that right. What's really interesting about that movie to me is the bad birding behaviors exhibited, chasing birds with a helicopter being the most egregious lol
